ABOUT VINCE
Vince Duqué was born in New York to Filipino immigrant parents and has spent his adult life moving between institutions, industries, countries, and identities. He attended West Point to learn about leadership while competing on their collegiate gymnastics team, built a long career in film and television, primarily as an assistant director, and later left Los Angeles for Paris. There, he began what he calls a self-guided PhD in cinema and art—a kind of finishing school for shaping his storytelling voice. Currently, he is in post on his first feature film, Je m'appelle Alvie Balicoco, while building an international creative team for future film and television projects. His work embraces a more intimate, author-driven approach to filmmaking inspired by the spirit of the French New Wave.
As an actor, Vince has studied with Jocelyn Jones, improvisation at UCB and movement training at the Joan Scheckel Filmmaking Labs.
